There are amazing producers, and then there are slightly brilliant ones. Buscemi, is one who takes the cake. No, he takes the entire bakery. I admire & respect his creative process – literally taking ages to create new music. If you listen carefully to any of his songs from the past decade you’ll completely understand why. They’re well-thought out, well-composed, sophisticated & simply delicious. His 2009 album, ‘In Situ,’ is a mini departure from his last ‘Retro Nuevo,’ but in a good way. It’s edgy in some parts & more sentimental in others – a logical balance. Two of my favourites are Sigo Meu Caminho & Fetiche.
